Inside Out is the first solo exhibition by artist Keeley Lowe.
Having graduated from BIAD Bournville in June 2009 with a BA (Hons) in art and design she has continued to develop her practice, having recently established a studio in Birmingham with fellow graduates.
Working with a variety of media Keeleys site adjusted installations explore the concept of theoretical opposites and question hierarchical notions in western society.
Technologically precise lightboxes are concealed within found and donated cardboard packaging which is altered to reveal glimpses of dazzling grids and towers of light within.
These kaleidoscopic reflections signal the infinite within the finite as the viewers engagement and participation is activated on sensory and physical levels. Exploring visual trickery Keeleys work heightens the potential for misreading and a polarised position - from the mundane to the complex - confronting the viewers values and perceptions.
The work is democratically available to everyone, operating within a perceived interaction, eliciting subjective narrative and revealing hidden worlds.
